One heavy BBQ.

A close friend approached us to help with a solution for an outdoor kitchen – the brief was simple. It was to be functional, robust and accommodate a very specific criteria of cooking apparatus.

Through a series of design iterations and providing visualisations we were able to land on a solution which provides a series of cooking platforms and storage. The large in-situ concrete plinth provides the base for such amenities, intentionally contrasting the exposed aggregate living area which sits adjacent.

Movable cedar sliding doors gives reference back to the materiality of the house whilst providing security and storage for those months when they reside overseas.
